An open letter to Houston Small Businesses

Dear small business owners,
I had a moment today. I walked into my office and looked at my boards with all of my plans and dreams for the next 6 months. For a moment, it seemed like they were all washed down the drain by Harvey. Discouragement welled up. Fear crept in. How was my fledgling business going to survive the inescapable challenges to come?

Then I remembered who I am and whose I am.

We will survive this. Don’t let discouragement rob you of your creative energy and flexibility. Put on your problem solving hat and ask for help when you need it. Reach out to other business leaders and develop solutions.
I know how hard you work on your business and what it means to you. Harvey will not destroy that. Remember your passion. Remember why you started your business. Remember who you are. You will survive this.
